He will give you creative ideas to honor each other during the ceremony and how you may want to include your family and cultural traditions. His extensive experience will help you to include friends, family, and children into the ceremony to make it memorable and touching if you so desire.
The wedding ceremony is the centerpiece of any wedding day and you should be comfortable with your minister. Pastor Mike has performed wedding ceremonies for many years. He has a love for weddings and the track record to assure you that he is well qualified to help you have a special memory like no other wedding you have ever witnessed.
He will do everything possible to ensure a heartfelt and spiritual memory. One that reflects the values and beliefs you have for your lives together. You may choose from simple to formal. Many couples will often spend a great deal of time on flowers, photography, the reception, etc., and not give sufficient thought to the particulars of their wedding ceremony. Expenses for a ceremony are very reasonable, especially compared to other costs associated with a wedding. When the food and guests are gone and the flowers are wilted, it will be the beautiful memory of your ceremony that you and your guests will remember.

Fees
Fees for professional wedding officiating vary for each ceremony and range from $250-$550. Every ceremony is unique and fees are quoted on an individual basis.
My fees are structured to support time dedicated to writing and designing your ceremony, while also working within your budget. Factors include date, location, rehearsal, travel, and my time to write and officiate your ceremony.
Whether your wedding ceremony is formal or casual, my fees offer great value to you as a couple. In addition to your custom-written ceremony, this may include leading your rehearsal, assisting your Ceremony Planner on your big day, and phone and email access. Couples have peace of mind knowing they have the an experienced, highly sought after and fun Pastor dedicated to their day. You can’t do your wedding ceremony “over” – so let’s start things right together!
Wedding procedure preformed by Pastor Mike
The following policies are designed to foster an enjoyable as well as Christ-centered ceremony and reception. The elders of Joshua Tree Christian Church acknowledge that the following policies are not prescriptively outlined in the Bible, nor could they be, as the Bible is not a wedding policy manual. However, the public testimony of the church is a great concern and therefore impacts our policies. The procedures outlined below are given for your assistance, as a suggested outline of what we think is a properly ordered Christian service that brings glory to God. We do realize that the wedding service is of great personal importance to each couple, and we want to work with you to ensure that you are pleased with the content and tone of your wedding service. Please discuss your desire for your wedding ceremony with the appropriate deacon or with the wedding coordinator or officiating pastor.
CEREMONIES
Wedding ceremonies, Scripture readings, etc, used at the ceremony are prepared by Pastor Mike and the Bride and Groom. The basic ceremony must be finalized for evaluation at least two weeks before the wedding date; this insures a smooth wedding ceremony.
COUNSELING
The joining of two lives in holy matrimony must be entered into with all seriousness. It is the couple’s responsibility to make sure that they understand the scriptural teachings concerning the various responsibilities in marriage, especially the responsibilities of each partner. Pastor Mike is available to instruct, encourage and reinforce the statement of Scripture concerning responsibility, permanency and unity of the marriage. An appointment for a consultation should be made as soon as possible after the decision to be married. Preparation is accomplished through consultation, premarital conversations, and recommended reading.
Weddings are performed by Pastor Mike come with the understanding that the man and woman have a personal faith in Jesus Christ and want to make Him a central point in their marriage.
Premarital conversations are organized for engaged couples, and are required as part of the preparations for the wedding. This program covers many of the important issues involved in a Biblical marriage bond, such as the role of men and women as a married couple, the nature and reason for the marriage bond, financial stability, the physical relationship, and communication.
Please reserve early to ensure your time and date is available. For your convenience, a Registration Form and a Wedding Service Agreement are available to download. Both forms need to be completed and sent in at the same time, along with a deposit check in the amount of $150*. The Wedding Services Agreement will be returned to the bride and groom, after Pastor Mike signs it.
*A $150 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve a date and time.
